Chinese government is preparing to expand the range of sources of meat imports to fill a gap in the country's pork supply caused by the outbreak of African swine fever, the China Meat Association said. It said China could ease import restrictions on Indian buffalo beef, Mongolian live cattle, sheep and Russian pork. In addition, China pledged last year to lift restrictions on British beef imports and will speed up work this year, with imports expected to resume in 2020.
